In the NWFL Premiership category, awards will be given to the most valuable player, highest goal scorer, best goalkeeper, best midfielder, best defender, and best coach.

Three outstanding personalities who have distinguished themselves in the game of women's football will also be recognised.

Last year, Delta Queens and Remo Stars Ladies players headlined the maiden edition of the Soccer Queens Awards for the Nigeria Women Football League players and coaches.
Chinaza Agoh, Mercy Omokwo, Andeline Mgbechi, and Sabastine Flourish were honoured in the first edition of the award ceremony.
Other recipients of the award in the top flight category include Esther Ogbonna Akudo and Tosan Blankson.
