Edo Queens approached the game with a clear strategy to break down a resolute Nasarawa Amazons defense as they controlled the game from the start, launching numerous attacks on the "Solid Babes."

The well-organized Nasarawa backline, led by Sunday Blessing, held firm, denying Edo Queens any clear-cut scoring chances. The first half ended scoreless, leaving Edo Queens frustrated despite their dominance.

Second Half Brings Tactical Shifts and Late Drama

The second half saw Edo Queens continue their attacking approach as Coach Christopher Danjuma of Nasarawa Amazons responded with substitutions, bringing on Regina Omede and Ojiyovwi Kesiena for Bibiana Odoh and Josephine Mathias respectively.

The changes temporarily disrupted Edo Queens' momentum, with Nasarawa creating a few promising opportunities.

Moses Aduku, Edo Queens' coach, countered with a substitution of his own, replacing Kafayat Mafisere with Marvelous Akpobaro in the 72nd minute.

The changes proved to be a game-changer as Akpobaro's presence in midfield shifted the balance in Edo Queens' favor, allowing them to regain control.

Abideen's Heroics Secure the Win

With nine minutes remaining, Suliat Abideen emerged as the heroine for Edo Queens; a well-orchestrated attack initiated by Akpobaro found its way to the right-back, who delivered a perfect cross into the box.
