It was a tale of woes for the Queens, who had earlier been crowned the early pacesetters after a dominant 5-1 victory in the Super Six opener.

But the Angels had other plans, and they came out guns blazing from the start with heavenly poise.

Florence Alexander opened the scoring for the Angels in the 11th minute, leaving the Queens defense in a flap.

And just before half hour mark, an own goal from Valentina Oroko doubled the Angel's advantage, leaving the Queens in freefall.

Emem Essien did manage to pull one back for the Queens just before halftime, but it proved to be too little, too late as the Angels held firm in the second half.

"Another two million reasons to celebrate!" the Angels exclaimed on their X, formerly Twitter, acount as they counted their winnings.

The Queens, on the other hand, will have to go back to the drawing board, licking their wounds and hoping to soar again in their next match.

As for the Angels, they're flying high, with their pockets full and their eyes set on the NWFL Super Six crown!
