Nzoia Sugar are rock bottom of the FKFPL which has prompted the club management into suspending coach Steve Biko after managing the side for just four games.
Nzoia Sugar head coach Steve Biko has been suspended by the club after just four games following a spell of poor results so far this season.
Nzoia have struggled this season and find themselves languishing bottom of the table on just 16 points after 22 matches played, and time is running short for them to survive relegation.
Biko, who previously served as Geoffrey Oduor's assistant, was suspended after managing just one win. Oduor was suspended following his standoff with Football Kenya Federation over a pay dispute.

FOOTBALL Nzoia Sugar head coach reveals reason for season’s struggles following AFC Leopards loss
Nzoia Sugar are rock-bottom of the league after 22 league games, a stark contrast to their form from last season, when they challenged for the title under Salim Babu.
In a letter dated March 5, 2024, the club has suspended Biko for up to three months and asked him to provide reasons why his services should not be terminated.
He was also instructed to surrender all club property immediately. The club is actively seeking a new head coach who will take charge for the 11 remaining matches of the season. Talks with potential coaches are underway, and an announcement regarding the new man is expected by the end of the week.
Biko was adamant following their loss to AFC Leopards that the club could still survive relegation.
“Chances are still high because, if you look at the difference between us and those in 15th and 14th and 13th place, it is just six or seven points,” Biko said.
“We can recover that in the 11 games that we have left, it is possible to cover that deficit.”
Biko had expressed frustration at Nzoia's defensive frailties, claiming they are the reason his side have struggled.

FKFPL Analysis : How Kayci Odhiambo can be AFC Leopards' John Stones in a hybrid midfield-center back role
Man City manager Pep Guardiola has been using John Stones in a hybrid midfield-center back role. Given Kayci is a midfielder-cum center back at AFC Leopards, could he be Tomas Trucha's version of the English defender at the club?
“We just need to make sure what we work on it in training and do well during the matches," he added.
“I want to work on our defence because we can actually score, the problem is defending, which we will work on to become more effective.”
The team's performance this season is notably worse compared to the previous season, and this decline is attributed to key departures from the club at the end of the last season.
Additionally, financial challenges led to a decimation of the playing staff. The financial struggles have persisted into the current campaign, contributing to the team's difficulties on the pitch.
Nzoia, historically known for producing top talents in the country, now face the threat of relegation if they cannot improve their performance in the remaining 11 matches of the season.
The next crucial match for the team is a home game against FC Talanta at Sudi Stadium on Sunday.
