The Premier League have announced the award winner for the month of November and December.
The Player, Manager of Goal monthly awards were revealed on Friday, January 13, 2023.
The two months of November and December were combined as the Premier League went on break for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Player of the Month
Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard has been voted the Premier League Player of the Month winner.
Odegaard is the first player to win the monthly award since former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in September 2019.
In both months, Odegaard contributed three goals and three assists to help Arsenal surge to the top of the table.
He beat Casemiro, Haaland, Ben Mee, Joao Palhinha, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Kieran Trippier to emerge the winner.
Speaking to the Arsenal website after the game, Odegaard said, "It feels great," Odegaard told Arsenal's official website. "I've said a lot of times this team has a lot of young, hungry players and we play so well with each other.
"It's a pleasure to play with them and show my qualities so I'm very happy to get this award."
Manager of the Month
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was also named as the Manager of the Month for November and December.
Arteta won the award for the second time this season after leading Arsenal to four wins from four games in November and December.
Big victories in London derbies against Chelsea and West Ham put Arsenal in a comfortable position for the title.
With four victories and a total of 10 goals scored in four games, Arteta beat Thomas Frank, Eddie Howe and Jurgen Klopp
Arteta will now lead his Arsenal side out against Tottenham Hotspur in their next Premier League fixture scheduled for Sunday, January 15, 2023.
