PSV and Ajax were linked with the Dutch international, who was previously rumoured to be interested in returning to his own country after playing for Liverpool.

Wijnaldum spent the previous season on loan with Jose Mourinho's Roma team in Italy, but before the new season, he returned to his parent club PSG.
The 32-year-old will team up with former Liverpool captains Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson in Saudi Arabia after completing his move.

Klopp not worried about Salah being linked to Al-Ittihad, believes he is committed
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he is not worried about the transfer speculation surrounding his star player Mohamed Salah.
The midfielder moved to Liverpool in 2016 from Newcastle United and helped the Reds win the Premier League and the Champions League.
The Dutchman played in 237 matches for Merseyside, scoring 22 goals and dishing out 16 assists. In 2021, he relocated to Paris.
He struggled for a year at PSG before being loaned to Roma, where he played in just 14 games for the Serie A team.
He has now completed his move to Saudi Arabia where he will team up with club legend Gerrard and former teammate Henderson.
Meanwhile, In the summer, Gerrard was appointed manager of Al-Ettifaq, and the team also signed former Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.
After five games, Al Ettifaq is presently sixth in Saudi Arabia's premier division as they attempt to contend for the league championship this year.
