David Okereke’s agent revealed his client wants to play with his compatriot Victor Osimhen at Napoli
Cremonese striker David Okereke is reportedly interested in teaming up with fellow Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
This was according to his agent, Patrick Bastianelli who revealed that Okereke’s dream is to “team up with his friend Osimhen.”
Both Osimhen and Okereke are Nigerian internationals but the Italy-based Super Eagles could not be having more different seasons as the former has scored 12 goals in 14 games for the league-leaders Napoli while the former has three goals in 13 Serie A games for bottom-placed Cremonese.
Okereke wants to join Osimhen at Napoli
Tutto Napoli reports Patrick Bastianelli’s comments which were made on Radio CRC during the broadcast "Si Gonfia la Rete."
“Okereke is very flexible, he can cover multiple roles. He was born as a winger, he plays as a first striker, under striker, as an attacking midfielder and has this great characteristic of being able to adapt in multiple forms,” Bastianelli said talking up his client.
The agent continued, “I hope I can complete his career playing in an important team because from a technical and character point of view he has everything to make an important leap in quality.”
“I expect Okereke to complete the season in double figures because then whoever plays in attack has to play the numbers. His dream is to team up with his friend Osimhen. He could fit in the battery of Napoli forwards. Now he is focused on the Cremonese and dreams of salvation,” Bastianelli concluded.
Okereke is among the more notable players of Bastianelli’s client list along with AC Milan’s Italian midfielder Tomasso Pobega and Senegalese striker Khouma Babacar who currently plays for Copenhagen.
