France international Olivier Giroud has announced that he will leave AC Milan at the end of the season and will continue his career in the MLS.

Former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has called time on his career at AC Milan and European football and will head next to the MLS.

Giroud joined the Rossoneri from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 and after three seasons and a Scudetto title, he announced he would be leaving the club.

What Giroud said

The France international shared the following:

"I will be playing my final two matches with Milan and will continue my career in the MLS," Giroud said, per the BBC.

"I'm very proud of what I've achieved at Milan in the last three years. My time with Milan might be finishing this year but the club will remain in my heart.

In his three seasons at the club, Giroud has amassed 130 appearances, scoring 48 goals—11 of which aided Milan to Scudetto triumph in the 2020/21 season—and 20 assists.

He will also be leaving European football after successful spells with Montpellier; he led to a Ligue 1 title, Arsenal, where he won multiple FA Cup and Community Shield titles, and Chelsea, the highest point of his club career, where he became a Champions League and Europa League winner.
