The Harambee Stars captain will sharpen his skills in Europe ahead of the new campaign in Qatar
Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga is set to pitch camp in Austria with his side Al Duhail for preseason as they seek to defend their title.
Olunga had an impressive campaign with Al Duhail last season, winning back-to-back Golden Boot awards, after bagging 22 goals while claiming his first Qatar Stars League title.
The striker was also the top scorer in the Ooredoo Cup with 10 goals with Al Duhail lifting the trophy as well as the Qatar Cup, ending the season with 40 goals from 38 games in all competition.

The brother’s revelation may end up cooling speculation around the player.
The former Gor Mahia striker is already back in Qatar for preseason but the club will have an enhanced training in Austria later in July.
“It was obvious the focus (was) on raising the physical fitness level as the players performed the following exercises: Weight lifting, ball dribble, short passes in tight spaces. Noting that the training sessions will continue daily before heading to the external training camp in Austria on 23 July,” the club said via a stamen on its website regarding their pre-season schedule.
Al Duhail, who also reached the Asian Champions League semi-final, last week extended the contract of their Argentine coach Hernan Crespo for another year after the former Inter Milan and Chelsea forward led them to the treble in 2022-23.

The Kenya captain has been linked with a move to Everton, but may not meet the requirements needed to play in the Premier League.
“This renewal comes within the club’s endeavors to set the atmosphere and stability for the first team of football who has already commenced preparations for the new football season,” the club said of the new contract.
Olunga has been the subject of transfer interest from teams in Europe with Dutch side FC Utrecht, Turkish giants Galatasaray and Premier League outfit Everton rumoured to be among those interested.
