David De Gea is reportedly in line for a January return to Manchester United just six months after leaving the club.
Manchester United are reportedly considering the option of bringing David de Gea back to the club less than six months after he left.
De Gea's contract expired on June 31, and after weeks of negotiations broke down, he announced his departure and desire to pursue a new challenge.
De Gea set for Man Utd return?
The Spaniard has yet to find a club since leaving United and is now being linked with a return to Old Trafford on a short-term deal, according to UK outlet The Sun.
The club are apparently concerned about the potential shortage of high-level keepers to compensate for when Andre Onana joins up with Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations in the new year.
Onana arrived from Inter Milan in the summer to replace De Gea but he has been disappointing on several occasions, making costly errors and keeping just four clean sheets in 13 games across competitions.
