Antonio Conte could be set to team up with Nigeria's Victor Osimhen at Napoli
Former Chelsea and Juventus coach Antonio Conte is reportedly set to become the highest-paid manager in Serie A after reportedly agreeing to a deal to take over the reins at Napoli.
Conte set to replace Calzona
According to reports from Italian outlet Il Matino, Conte has agreed to a three-year contract worth €7 million per season plus €1 million in add-ons to take over from temporary manager Francesco Calzona, whose time as coach of Napoli will end with the current campaign.
This deal will make Conte the highest-paid coach in the country with the former Tottenham boss set to earn more than current Serie A champion Simone Inzaghi at Inter.
Conte set for Serie A adventure
The move to Napoli will see Conte embark on another Serie A adventure after previously winning the league in spells with Juventus and Inter.
After Napoli’s catastrophic title defense in the 2023/24 season, which saw them wade through no less than three managers, the Partenopei have earmarked Conte as the man to lead them back to the good times, hence his hefty wages.
