Victor Osimhen's alleged decision threw a wrench in Napoli's transfer market plans.
Victor Osimhen has reportedly thrown Napoli's January transfer window plans in disarray after he contacted them to inform them of a key decision.
The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Galatasaray, but he is still officially a Napoli player. While a return to the club is not on the cards as relationships between both parties have seemingly collapsed beyond repair, the Partenopei still hope to profit off the Nigerian.

During his latest contract renewal, a €75 million release clause was worked into his contract. The three-time Italian champions reportedly planned their winter transfer window with the influx of that amount in mind; however, they will now have to re-strategise.
Osimhen’s decision
The Nigerian is one of the most coveted talents in the transfer window, and Napoli were confident suitors were lying in wait to trigger his release clause come the opening of the transfer window.
As Pulse Sports reported, Napoli had a list of three players whose transfer fees they were hoping to fund with the sale of Osimhen in January: Lecce’s left-back Patrick Dorgu, Arsenal centre-back Jakub Kiwior, and Empoli’s midfield prodigy Jacopo Fazzini.
However, Fanatik now reports that Osimhen contacted the Partenopei hierarchy personally to inform them that he will not leave Galatasaray this January.
The report is consistent with Osimhen's earlier statement where he told reporters in Turkey that he will stay until the end of his season-long loan deal and will not end it halfway, despite having a clause that allows him to do that.
