Galatasaray dropped two point in the title race as Hatayspor held the league leaders to a frustrating draw.

The home team head into the game against the Turkish Champions, sitting in 18th place and battling to survive relegation on the league table

However, despite being the underdogs heading into the clash, they were able to get a 1-1 draw against Galatasaray.

As it happened

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued in attack for Galatasaray alongside Baris Alper Yilmaz and Dries Mertens

Galatasaray were shocked by the host in the first half following Cemali Sertel's goal in the 28th minute.

The league leaders pushed for the equaliser but had to wait until the 56th minute in the second half to get back into the game.

Mertens was brought down in the box, which the referee waved off, but his attention was brought back by VAR before later pointing to the spot.

Osimhen stood in front of the ball, ran up to the ball, stopped and waited for Visar Bekaj to commit before slotting the penalty into the right of the goal.

All efforts from the Turkish champions to get the winning goal proved abortive, as they could only settle for a draw at the end of full-time.
