The two worked together almost 20 years ago before allegedly falling out in an acrimonious fashion.
Former Harambee Stars goalkeeper Mathew Ottamax has claimed a fight between him and current Tusker head coach Robert Matano saw him sacked at World Hope FC.
Matano was the head coach of World Hope, now the Nairobi City Stars, and Ottamax has recalled how a fallout played out between him and the tactician.
"This is my story: The year 2014 was such a blessing to me, I had been out of a job for almost ten years since getting sacked by coach Robert Matano at World Hope FC now City Stars, in 2004," Ottamax narrated, in a social media post.
"I practically went home to roost, depending on my baby mama for upkeep (hii ndio sasa kuwekwa) and uanga very bad."

FOOTBALL Ottamax recalls emotional trauma Shabana inflicted on AFC Leopards
The retired goalkeeper reminisces about how relegated Tore Bobe denied the star-studded Ingwe season's crown.
The former AFC Leopards goalkeeper said the exit from World Hope saw him adjust to the new financial reality, and it was a struggle.
"My joblessness got the family to make some adjustments, cutting down on cozy living when we moved from a four-bedroomed house in Komarock, to some small two-bedrooms in Mwengenye, Saika," he added.
"It forced me to compromise my daughter's education by moving her from Infill Academy to a congested free education school, Komarock Primary."
Ottamax claimed Matano instigated his contract cancellation and even kept taking jibes at him in front of his younger teammates.
"My joblessness was courtesy of The Lion [Matano], who picked an unnecessary fight with me after the World Hope management gave me a new contract and added value to it," he continued.
"And this is when the coach loudly said while pointing at me in front of predominantly young players at World Hope, most of whom valued me as their role model.
"By saying, 'Mwingine nataka kumfukuza kwa team halafu anazunguka nyuma yangu kusign contract mpya analipwa pesa mingi na hatatusaidia!' [Someone I want to send away from the team goes behind my back, signs a new contract, and he will not even help us."
