Paul Pogba has been told he is surplus to requirement by Juventus director Cristiano Guintoli.
Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has maintained that Paul Pogba is surplus to requirement, despite the midfielder expressing his desire to continue at the club.
The 31-year-old has been out of action for months and is still ruled out for a bit more. He was handed a four-year ban after a banned substance was found in his bloodstream; however, the suspension was reduced to 18 months, and he will be able to play again in March.

‘I am not a cheater’ - Pogba takes responsibility, claims he is an honest person
Paul Pogba has taken responsibility for his actions and claims he is an honest person following his ban reduction.
Still, Pulse Sports reported that Juventus plan on terminating Pogba's contract as they would like to get his mammoth wages off their books.
What Giuntoli said
Following the report, Pogba had an interview, in which he said his focus was to be at Thiago Motta’s disposal. He said he would be willing to take a pay cut, as remaining a Juventus player is his priority.
Still, Giuntoli told Dazn ahead of their victory over Lazio that they had already prepared for a future without Pogba and were living that reality; hence, they were satisfied with their squad, as is, without the France international.
"Our position is clear. Pogba has been a great player; he has been out for a long time and last year we were forced to invest in other players," Guintoli said. "So now the squad is complete as it is."
