Musa, who was born in Plateau’s capital, Jos, has urged Nigerians to unite together to fight against the terrorists that have been terrorising the state.
No end in sight for Plateau crisis
In the last few months, there has not been peace in Plateau state, especially in Mangu Local Government Area, where the residents have not had peace in months.
Armed men have been terrorising the local government in the last few months, with lives and properties being destroyed.
The latest incident of violence was on Wednesday morning, with the people in the community claiming they were attacked again by armed men despite the 24-hour curfew imposed by the Plateau state government.
According to the Premium Times, the armed men razed down churches and mosques in Anguwan Dawo, Old Market and Bayan Kasuwa suburbs of the local council, going on a killing spree.
With the violence still at large in the community, Musa has now called for peace, calling on the government to step up their efforts to secure people’s lives and properties.
Musa calls for peace in Plateau
Musa said this on his social media page after the latest incident in Mangu Local Government Area.
The Super Eagles captain said: A Heartfelt Plea for Peace in Plateau 💔😭
Dear Plateau Family and Nigerians as a whole,
Our state is hurting, and we need to come together. The fights, the killings– it's too much. We are all one big family, no matter our religion. Most families in Plateau have both Christians and Muslims. We should be celebrating our differences, not fighting because of them.
Let's ask our leaders to focus on what really matters: keeping us safe and bringing back the peace we once had. Plateau used to be known as the Home of Peace and Tourism. We want that back.
So, let's stand side by side, no matter our religion. Hold hands, pray, and ask for peace. We can do this if we all work together. 😭💔👏
#PeaceForPlateau #EndTheFights #OnePlateauFamily #HomeOfPeace #LeadersListen #PrayForPlateau #TogetherForPeace 🙏💙👏
Musa’s love for Plateau should not come as a surprise as he was born in the state and also started his career there.
