After Benni McCarthy finalized his 25-man Harambee Stars squad for the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Gambia and Gabon, 24 players found themselves left out, as per the list published by MozzartSport.
Among them was Australian-born midfielder William Lenkupae, who had generated significant attention when he was included in the provisional squad.
Kenya will first take on Gambia on March 20, 2025, at Stade Allasane Ouattara in Ivory Coast, before returning home to face Gabon at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi on March 23, 2025.
