Messi who has scored over 800 goals in his career was asked in an interview with France Football if he had a favourite goal.
"A goal that I always remember, and I don't go much for the goal, and what the goals mean, it's the goal for Barcelona against Real Madrid, which we won 2-0 in the Champions League semi-final at the Bernabeu," he said.
The goal in question saw Messi waltz through the Real Madrid midfield and defence before firing a right-footed low drive beyond Iker Casillas.
