The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Oyo State chapter has concluded arrangements for its annual Ramadan Lecture for the year 2023.
On April 12, at the Dapo Aderogba Hall, NUJ Press Center Iyaganku, Ibadan, the next Lecture, the fifth in the yearly series, is set.

Ambassador Romoke Ramat Ayinde, a multilingual physical fitness specialist who serves as the Iyalaje Adeen of Oyo State, will give a guest lecture at the occasion.
She is expected to speak on The Place of Fasting in the Life of a Sportsperson.
Speaking on the relevance of the topic of the lecture, the chairman of the state chapter, Niyi Alebiosu, said the topic was carefully chosen to inform Muslim believers and sports journalists about the benefits of fasting for athletes.
He added that a prominent fitness specialist who is aware about the suitability of fasting with sports will be the guest lecturer.
"We are using this year's Ramadan Lecture to explore the place of fasting in the life of an athlete. There is a popular misconception among people that fasting is detrimental to the health and performance of athletes. The topic was chosen to correct this erroneous belief.
