Star-marksman Denis Omedi struck for the visiting Royals to edge a tightly contested affair under the floodlights.
Kitara FC pushed further their impressive campaign after a hugely memorable 1-0 victory over 13-time champions KCCA FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Friday.
Star-marksman Denis Omedi struck for the visiting Royals to edge a tightly contested affair under the floodlights.
The victory completed Kitara's first-ever Uganda Premier League double over the Kasasiro Boys.
They had beaten them earlier in the season 3-1 in Masindi, on an occasion where Omedi, Living Kabon and Paul Mucureezi scored.
Tonight's game left a mark with a mammoth crowd, not so cognizant of recent history in the league.
Both sides had multiple chances to break the deadlock both sides of the half, but it was Omedi's 79th-minute moment that counted.

Following the victory, Kitara closed down on table leaders with BUL FC. The former are second with 36 points, while the latter are on 38 after 18 games.
In their subsequent game, Kitara will host host Wakiso Giants FC in Masindi on February 27.
