"This team is past that. We're excited. We're prepared," head coach Emma Hayes emphasised, dismissing questions about the team’s World Cup performance.

Hayes is Confident in the Team's Readiness

Despite a recent 0-0 draw against Costa Rica, Hayes expressed full confidence in her squad. The team, featuring eight returning Olympians, has undergone intensive preparation in Marseilles.

"The team is exactly where it needs to be at this stage and for us, it's just so, so important we continue to focus on that process."

Respect for Zambia

While Zambia may be ranked 64th, Hayes is wary of underestimating their opponents. "It isn't a shoo-in to get somewhere. It has to be earned," she cautioned.
