While PSG is considered heavy favorites to progress, Enrique laughed off the notion, stating, "PSG immense favourites? It’s proof that the press knows nothing about football." He emphasized that any team's exit at this stage would be a disappointment and expressed excitement about the prospect of a special match and a unique atmosphere.
Enrique anticipated a spectacular clash similar to the quarter-finals, emphasizing both teams' attacking prowess and ability to create chances. He expressed confidence in PSG's progress throughout the season and stressed the importance of managing emotions and handling pressure in such high-stakes matches.
"We are improving, we are at the start of our project. There is one month left of the season and we are still in all competitions. We will have to manage these emotions, handle the pressure, be ambitious."
Focus on Continuous Improvement
Highlighting PSG's progress, particularly in overcoming a first-leg deficit against Barcelona in the quarter-finals, Enrique emphasized the team's character and determination. He emphasized the team's objective of playing matches where they are the best team and acknowledged the importance of setting the pace of the game against Dortmund.
"We have progressed in all aspects, defensively and offensively, but we can still get better. That’s our way of managing the group, to be demanding of the players. We have shown character to overcome difficult moments where we were losing games, showing our character."
Enrique addressed the age factor within the team, asserting that age is not important in determining the starting lineup. He emphasized the readiness of young players and expressed confidence in the team's blend of youth and experience, citing examples from other sports to support his viewpoint.
"Age is not important. Look at cycling for example, there are younger and younger cyclists, the youngsters are very ready."

Despite the significance of the Champions League semifinal, Enrique struck a relaxed tone, welcoming the pressure associated with such high-profile matches. He emphasised his love for such pressure and his readiness to handle it, highlighting the privilege of competing in the semifinals of the Champions League.
"It’s the pressure that each person wants to put on it. I love such pressure, but if you’re not capable of handling it as a player, member of staff etc… I’ve experienced this in big clubs, I welcome this pressure."
