Were has rejoined Mathare United after 14 years, having come through their Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) system.
Former AFC Leopards and Tusker FC winger Paul Were was among the players unveiled by Mathare United following the conclusion of their transfer activity in the mid-season transfer window.
Were had become a free agent since leaving Rwandese outfit Rayon Sports, a club he had spent the last year at.
The winger, who has the capability of making direct runs into the box and creating chances, has marked a return to the club he last played for 14 years ago.
