Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has compared his side's final Premier League game of the season to a Tennis serve.

Manchester City have taken a significant step towards a record fourth consecutive league title, with a convincing 2-0 win over Tottenham on Tuesday night.

City climbed to the top of the table last night and will win the Premier title if they defeat West Ham on Sunday.

That will mark a fourth consecutive league title, a feat that has never been achieved in English football history.

"The tennis players say 'the serve to win Wimbledon', the last game, is the most difficult one," Guardiola told BBC Match of the Day.

"We know what we're playing for. The tension is there."

No side has ever started the final day in second place and gone on to lift the trophy, which puts City in a great spot.

"Everyone come to the stadium and make noise," added Guardiola.

"We'll have one day off, two days to prepare, and then we will do our best."
