Fans have called for Pep Guardiola's sack after Manchester City suffered their fourth defeat in a row in the English Premier League against Liverpool.

Guardiola’s side have been off the pace for the last couple of weeks, which has affected their hunt to defend the EPL title.

Liverpool looked confident coming into the game following their 2-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League.

However, City, who needed a win to get their season back on track lost 2-0 to the Red and dropped to fifth place on the league table.

The atmosphere was tense at Anfield after Man City saw their title challenge crumble at the hands of Liverpool.

The reaction after the full-time whistle says a lot as fans were heard singing "You’re getting sacked in the morning” as reported by Fabrizio on X.

However, Pep Guardiola replied to them by showing them his number six fingers, which simply means he has won the Premier League titles as Manchester City coach six times.

The Reds started the game looking dangerous and got two attempts that almost led to the first goal of the game.

However, just 13 minutes into the game, Liverpool’s pressure paid off and they got the opening goal, which they took into halftime.

The ball was played across the field to Salah to chase and the winger slid in a low ball across Ortega for Cody Gakpo to tap home.

Arne Slot’s side then doubled their lead from the penalty spot after Diaz was brought down by Ortega in the box.
