In a game played across two days, Makerere University assumed a first-leg advantage in the Pepsi University Football League quarterfinals over Uganda Christian University (UCU).
Makerere edged UCU 2-1 at the former's grounds on Friday to finish off the bout that had been halted by a heavy downpour last evening.
The game was abandoned and subsequently postponed in their 32nd with the scores level at 1-1.
Musa Male and Nicholas Ddungu netted for Makerere, while Geoffrey Gagganga grabbed the valuable away goal for the Mukono-based outfit.
