The two giants in Group A are separated by just two points heading into the battle between them this weekend.
Jos-based club Plateau United have stepped up preparation ahead of their “epic” battle on the road this weekend.
United will be visitors in Ikenne on Sunday when they go head-to-head with Remo Stars in the NPFL.
The week seven blockbuster is undoubtedly one of the biggest games in the world this weekend and will see both fight to improve their positions on the table.
Both sides are separated by just two points and United are hard at work as they “gear up” to face the stubborn Remo side.
United continue preparation for epic tie
The Jos side took to their social media account to share a picture of their players jogging in training as they prepare to face Remo on Sunday.
Accompanying the picture is a caption that describes the week seven clash as an “epic” one between the gap Group A giants.
"We are gearing up for the epic encounter in Ikenne against @RemoStarsSC on Sunday," the club said in a tweet on Thursday.
The head-to-head
In terms of what to expect, this particular fixture does excite much in terms of goals in the football league.
The last three meetings have seen just three goals, an average of one per game, with the home side taking all three points in each of the matches.
Plateau United have the overall edge in terms of head-to-head, with two wins compared to Remo’s one.
However, the home side will be confident of taking this one as Plateau United lost on their last visit to Ikenne, though United defeated Remo 2-1 in Ikenne back in 2017.
