Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed his conversation with defender Thiago Silva after his wife, Bella Silva, called for the manager's sack after defeat to Wolves.

Pochettino reassured his squad with unwavering faith in a spirited team meeting last Tuesday, amidst the turbulent aftermath of their 4-2 loss at home to Wolves. The Chelsea gaffer didn't just stop there; he also engaged in a pivotal clear-the-air session with veteran defender Thiago Silva, following a controversial social media post by Silva's wife, Belle, hinting at the need for change at the club.

As Chelsea gears up for an FA Cup fourth-round replay against Aston Villa, the atmosphere within the camp hints at a resolve to turn the tide.

Pochettino's approach in rallying his troops underlines his leadership philosophy. "I told the players in a meeting today that I trust you more than ever. I am going to support you more than ever. I am not a normal boss. I am the leader and I need to reflect in every single action that I really trust," he declared, emphasizing his commitment to navigate the team through this challenging phase.

This declaration of support wasn't just aimed at the collective but also extended to individual players, as seen in his private discussion with Silva. "He came today to talk with me," Pochettino shared, "The important thing is he came and wanted to talk with me. It was private. And that's it."

Despite the recent setback against Wolves and the resultant scrutiny, Pochettino remains optimistic, buoyed by a message of support from Chelsea's owners. "I received a very good text from them," he stated, reinforcing the united front within the club. The Chelsea boss also addressed misconceptions surrounding his post-match comments after the Wolves defeat, clarifying, "I said: 'Today, we were not good enough and me the first.'
