The Argentine is the leading candidate to be appointed the next Blues’ manager.

Chelsea are reportedly ready to give Romelu Lukaku another revival chance if they appoint Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine is the frontrunner to take over at Stamford Bridge, and Lukaku is set to be given another chance to make it work with Chelsea.

After signing a record two-year deal with Chelsea from Inter Milan, the Belgian returned to San Siro on loan after a season at Stamford Bridge.

His return to Stamford Bridge did not work as expected, with rumours indicating he fell out with former coach Thomas Tuchel.

He has seen his form come back after it had dipped and helped Inter Milan into the Champions League semi-final. However, his recent form may not convince the Italian club to retain him beyond the current season.

The potential arrival of Pochettino is believed to be a good one, as it will give Chelsea a vision with Lukaku.

Going by how Pochettino worked with Harry Kane and helped the England star become a prolific striker, Chelsea hope the same can work with Lukaku.

Given that he remains one of the top strikers in Europe, there is still a lot the former Everton striker can offer Chelsea.

Reports had earlier indicated that Chelsea were willing to sell Lukaku at a loss, but other rumours stated the club was ready to include him in a part-exchange deal to sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid. Either way, the 29-year-old will see his future undergo a review at the end of the season.

Chelsea are going to prioritize signing a striker, especially now that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could leave after an underwhelming season and Armando Broja is still in recovery mode from a knee injury that ruled him out of the season.
