Football Kenya Federation Women's Premier League (FKFWPL) champions Kenya Police Bullets FC have scrapped their plans to set up a pre-tournament camp in Uganda due to escalating security concerns in Kampala.
The team was poised to sharpen their skills in Uganda's capital in anticipation of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League Cecafa qualifiers.

Tusker switch up opponents for pre-season friendlies in Uganda
Tusker have adjusted their pre-season friendly lineup in Uganda focusing on team synergy and integrating new players for upcoming challenges.
However, a last-minute pivot now sees them preparing in Ngong, Kajiado County instead.
The club’s Chief Executive Officer Chris Oguso revealed the abrupt change in plans.
“Everything was in place for our girls to train in Uganda because we felt that the weather there is a bit similar to the one in Addis Ababa where the tournament will be held.
But unfortunately, we were forced to cut off our plans due to the security reasons, as witnessed in some few weeks there have been protest from Ugandans and that’s what scared us away,” Oguso explained as per Citizen Digital.

“As police, I think we are already done with our first lot of players to represent us in Ethiopia and if we qualify we will add more,” Oguso added.
