Posta Rangers coach John Kamau has leapt to the defence of match officials, saying players should control their emotions during matches
Posta Rangers head coach John Kamau has advised his players to learn how to control their emotions better after his captain Kennedy Owino was dismissed for a second bookable offence at full time during their 0-0 draw with KCB on Sunday.
Owino was dismissed right after the final whistle had blown when he had a go at the referee for his decision to book him for an infringement.
Kamau was seen raging at full time, leaving people speculating whether he was angry because of the decision by the referee, but made a surprising statement in support of the match official.

FKFPL Week 10 review : Chaos after AFC Leopards’ City Stars defeat, Shabana in relegation places and how will Tusker stop the rot?
From Shabana getting into the relegation places to security officers having to prevent AFC Leopards fans from causing trouble following defeat to Nairobi City Stars, here are the talking points from gameweek 10 of the FKFPL.
“The referee to me was right. For this situation, I will support the referee,” Kamau said, reacting to Owino’s red card.
“You get fouled as a player, the referee gives you a foul, then you should be content with that, but when you continue talking to the referee, you persist with the matter and carry on and get the second yellow card, that one I am in full support of the referee.”
Kamau has challenged his players to learn how to control their emotions better, saying potential national team players should not be behaving the way Owino did.
“They are playing here so that in future, they can feature in our national team and I think in the national team, you would not find something of that sort, so for me, it is a learning process for us," he added.

“Especially for the player because I mean, the game against KCB was heated because it was end-to-end so I think we should learn to control our emotions.”
Posta Rangers sit top of the FKFPL on 21 points after 10 matches played. They lead Gor Mahia on just one point.

FOOTBALL Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left out as Gabon name squad to face Harambee Stars
Gabon have excluded star striker Aubameyang from World Cup qualifier squad.
They will have their work cut out to maintain their lead with such a key player suspended for the next fixture against AFC Leopards this Friday, one game before the international break.
They have scored 14 goals and conceded another five, numbers that make them the most prolific side in the division, and one with the second-meanest defence.
