Postecoglou on Richarlison’s injury
Postecoglou stated, as reported by TalkSports, “He picked up, in the last action of training yesterday, a calf injury. He's gone for a scan so we'll wait and see what the outcome is, but not available for today.”
The attacking alternatives available for Spurs are Brennan Johnson, Heung-Min Son, and Dejan Kulusevski with Dane Scarlett standing as a backup striker.
Compared to his first season, Richarlison has had a lot more success in front of goal for Spurs this season.
This season, he has 12 goals in 31 games, 11 of which are in the league. Last time out, he had only three goals in 35 outings.
The 27-year-old's form hasn't been as strong as it was early in the season, though, due to a recent knee injury.
Postecoglou's side are seven points behind Aston Villa and are hoping they can secure Champions League spot.
