Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is available for selection against Fulham according to Chelsea manager Graham Potter.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is back to full fitness and once again available for selection according to Chelsea manager Graham Potter.
The English tactician provided updates on the availability of certain players one of which was Aubameyang.
The Gabonese striker was left out of Chelsea’s FA Cup defeat to Manchester City at the weekend with a back problem but is now back for the Premier League trip to Fulham.
“Pierre is fine” - Graham Potter
“Pierre is fine and he’ll be in the squad for the game,” Potter said in response to a question at the pre-match press conference.
Chelsea will embark on the short trip to fellow West London club Fulham in the only Thursday Premier League fixture.
Chelsea will be hoping to snap their terrible run of form with a positive result at Craven Cottage as Potter’s men have only one once in their last seven competitive games.
Fulham on the other hand are on a four-game winning streak across all competitions with three consecutive Premier League victories.
A win for Chelsea would also see them draw level on points with their opponents as Fulham currently sit seventh with 28 points while Chelsea are 10th on the log.
Chelsea’s chances of securing a positive result have now been increased with the availability of Aubameyang as he remains the only fit outright centre forward available at the club.
The 33-year-old Gabonese has found it difficult to fit in at Stamford Bridge so far, managing three goals in 15 games across all competitions for Chelsea since joining from Barcelona in the summer.
It remains to be seen if Aubameyang will start the game on the pitch or on the bench especially with the recent signing of Portuguese forward Joao Felix.
