Hammers legend Paolo Di Canio tears into Mbappe in latest rant about PSG and Mbappe transfer debacle
Premier League icon and former West Ham forward Paolo Di Canio has blamed Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe for the current transfer saga that embroils the Frenchman.

Di Canio, who famously played for London side West Ham in the Premier League and Juventus, Milan, and Lazio in Serie A during a storied career, recently told Sky Sports Italia that he believed that the current PSG transfer debacle was due to Mbappe’s indecency.
The former player and manager was critical of Mbappe, who is being forced out of PSG this summer as the Ligue 1 side try to avoid losing him on a free transfer next season.

Mbappe informed PSG in an email that he will not be extending his contract with the club beyond 2024 after rejecting a move to Real Madrid in 2021 to stay with Les Parisiens.
Di Canio has now claimed that the main reason for the current debacle is the club trying too hard to please the France national team captain.
Di Canio assesses Mbappe-PSG situation
Speaking to SkySPorts Italia, Di Canio was visibly irate as he commented on the Mbappe situation.
He said, “PSG have put themselves in this situation because they coddled him, now they must limit the damage and make a decision.
“We can judge PSG’s errors but, I am saying it openly, also the indecency of the lad. Indecency, that’s what it is. He took advantage of this situation a year ago and now he’s doing the same, threatening to leave on a free transfer next year.
Di Canio also accused Mbappe of disrespecting the club and its fans despite the support that they have shown him.
“It’s an absolute shame that Mbappbe behaves this way after earning €200-300m even if everyone always tries to earn more without hypocrisy,” Di Canio said.
“Then there are the fans, the club and the honorability which you can’t buy even with €2 billion and he is not respecting any of these.”
PSG have allegedly issued an ultimatum to Mbappe to either sign a new contract at the club or leave this season in order to recoup some of his transfer fee, but the Frenchman has continually stated his desire to only leave at the end of the 2023/24 season.
