Alex Iwobi's incredible form this season for Fulham has not gone unnoticed.
Iwobi makes history
The Super Eagles ace started his 20th league game for the Cottagers during the clash against Ipswich this afternoon, which took his total Premier League appearance tally to 50 for Fulham.
Iwobi had previously made 123 EPL appearances for Everton and a hundred for Arsenal, meaning he joined an exclusive club of African players to have racked up 50 or more games for three teams in the English top flight.
Before Iwobi, Kanu Nwankwo (Arsenal, Portsmouth, West Brom), El Hadji Diouf (Bolton, Blackburn, Liverpool), Yakubu Aiyegbeni (Everton, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth), and Mohamed Diamé (Wigan, West Ham, Newcastle) each previously achieved the feat, making the Lagos-born midfielder only the fifth such player.
Alex Iwobi: Premier League legend in the making
The 28-year-old began his journey in the division at the Emirates after he was promoted by Arsene Wenger as one of the shining stars of Arsenal's Hale End Academy.
The €30.4 million the Toffees paid to acquire his service was only recently pushed down to seventh in the list of Arsenal's record sales. He largely impressed at Merseyside and was snapped up by Fulham in a €25.7 million deal.
He is currently playing some of the best football of his career, and as Pulse Sports reported, he finished 2024 as the player with the third-most chances created in Europe's top five leagues, only behind Chelsea's Cole Palmer and Arsenal's Martin Odegaard.
