According to reports, the police are currently looking into a former rape claim against one of the Premier League managers.

Detectives from the Met Police first learned of a rape event from a crime report that was filed 21 months ago.

The Premier League manager who has been linked to the attack willingly showed up at a police station on Monday with his attorney. However, he wasn't arrested, but he was questioned about the incident.

Premier League manager accused of rape

The unnamed Premier League manager is currently called in for questioning after reports say that he was accused of raping a teenage girl.

According to reports from the Sun, the accused person first encountered the complainant when she applied to work for a company he was affiliated with at the time.

Further investigation is being conducted before deciding whether to charge him or take no further action.

The Met Police said as reported by the Sun, “On Thursday, September 23, 2021, the Met received a crime report regarding a historic rape allegation.

"On Monday, June 12, a man was interviewed under caution at a police station.’’

Due to legal restrictions, The Sun is unable to identify the man. It is clear that he disputes the rape allegation.

A source speaks about the allegation

According to a source that spoke to The Sun, “He is shocked by the allegation and totally refutes it.”

“The allegation goes back quite a few years when the complainant met the suspect after she applied for a job at a place he was involved with. She was a teenage girl at the time and is now a mature woman.”

Specialised sex crimes investigator and former Met Det Supt Michael Hames as reported by the Sun stated "With past reports in general, you lose possible evidence that may have been gathered earlier.

“Very often it becomes one person’s word against another’s.”

Investigations and questioning are still ongoing about the allegation but no conclusion on the case has been made.
