Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran found himself in a precarious situation just hours before his club's Europa Conference League tie with Lille, as he was involved in a car crash in his luxury SUV.
The 20-year-old Colombian forward was photographed at the scene of the accident, standing next to his £73,000 BMW X6 in Birmingham. Despite the extensive damage to the front of his vehicle, Duran emerged unscathed from the collision, which occurred on Holloway Head B4127.

Authorities swiftly responded to the incident, with West Midlands Police confirming that no injuries were reported. An eyewitness recounted Duran's responsible conduct at the scene, noting that he ensured everyone involved was okay before remaining at the site of the accident.
Remarkably, Duran managed to overcome the ordeal and feature in Aston Villa's Europa Conference League quarter-final first leg against Lille later that evening. Although initially named on the bench by Villa boss Unai Emery, Duran was brought on for the final eight minutes of the match.
Match Highlights
Aston Villa secured a 2-1 victory over Lille, with goals from Ollie Watkins and John McGinn providing the crucial advantage. However, Lille managed to pull a goal back in the 84th minute, setting the stage for an intriguing second-leg encounter.
