During the occasion, Ruto emphasized football's immense potential as a catalyst for positive change in the lives of players, coaches, and communities.

In a statement following the trophy presentation, President Ruto expressed his enthusiasm for harnessing the commercial possibilities of professional football to empower emerging talents and transform the prospects of football enthusiasts.

The Head of State also acknowledged the league's influence on Kenyan football, mentioning former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama, who showcased his skills while playing for Southampton and later Tottenham Hotspur, as well as Divock Origi, the son of the esteemed former Stars icon Mike Origi, who had connections with Liverpool.
