Uganda Premier League side URA FC has announced the signing of starlet Amisi Bwangani, 19, on a three-year contract from third division side Busei FC.
Blessed with an impressive combination of pace, sharp shooting skills, and impressive dribbling and set piece ability, Bwangani promises to be a valuable asset to the Tax Collectors.
The young player had a notable run in the 2022/23 season, featuring in 16 matches for Busei and making a strong mark with 8 goals and 2 assists.
Bwangani's talents have previously shone in St Henry’s College Kitovu side, where he played an instrumental role in the team reaching the USSSA football championship finals in Fort Portal.
Despite the team eventually losing to St Mary’s Kitende, Bwangani's stellar performance stood out. He has scored 11 goals and made three assists in 10 matches for Kitovu in 2023.
His talents were also showcased at Iganga Triangle Senior Secondary school, where he made an impressive tally of 17 goals and 6 assists across 21 matches between 2017 and 2019.
As a player, Bwangani will be expected to be an understudy regards URA's left back position, where Derrick Ndahiro and Eric Senjobe have established their influence.
Despite the daunting challenge of competing against the tried and tested Ndahiro and the versatile Senjobe, the S6 student has displayed the talent and determination to rise to the occasion.
The teenager's signing marks Busei FC's third acquisition in the ongoing transfer window, following the earlier signings of his fellow youngsters Kisiriko Denis Luzige and Kisolo John Innocent.
The club's focus on youth is clear, with the recent signings demonstrating a strategic move to develop and harness young talent for the future.
Bwangani's arrival at the Tax Collectors signals exciting times ahead for the club and its fans, who eagerly anticipate his contributions in the coming season.
