Another big-name player is on the verge of joining the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Kareem Benzema to move to the Saudi Pro League.

After spending six years at the club, Brazilian star Neymar Junior is about to call it quits with Ligue 1 side PSG.

Neymar joined PSG in 2017 from Spanish giants Barcelona for a world record fee of 222m euros  (£191.46m)

Earlier, Pulse Sports reported that Neymar was in advanced talks with Al-Hilal to join the Saudi Arabian club.

The BBC has now confirmed that Neymar would move to Saudi Arabia after PSG agreed a fee in the region of £77.6m plus add-ons for the forward.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano also revealed on Twitter that the Brazilian superstar would complete a medical later today.

During his time at Parc des Princes Neymar won 13 domestic honours in total; five Ligue 1 titles, and also finished as runner-up in the 2020 Champions League final loss to Bayern Munich.

Neymar to join ex-European Stars in Saudi Arabia

Espn reported that Neymar will sign a two-year deal with Al-Hilal with an option of extending for a third year.

Before Neymar’s imminent arrival, Al-Hilal have brought in big European stars like ex-Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly, former Wolves midfielder Rúben Neves, and Sergej Milinković-Savić, who once played for Lazio.

Since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, Saudi Pro League clubs have continued to attract ex-European stars.

Former Liverpool midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, World Cup winner Ngolo Kante, and ex-Aston Villa coach Steven Gerrard have all moved to Saudi Arabia.

It is understood that Saudi Arabia have a huge transfer budget to continue to tempt big name players with a move to the middle East.
