South Sudan head coach Stefano Cusin has named Bright Stars' 30-man provisional squad ahead of their clash against Congo later this month.
Bright Stars will face the Red Devils in two Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, and the summoned players are expected to speed up the preparations for the doubleheader.
Rainbow FC winger Paul 'Messi' Jawa has been named in the squad, having impressed in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations. The youngster contributed to Young Bright Stars' quarter-final finish and won a man-of-match accolade in a group stage clash against the Central African Republic.
There is, however, no space in the squad for AFC Leopards attacking midfielder Saad Musa, Tusker FC forward David Majak, and former Kariobangi Sharks defender John Kuol.
The first leg will be played at the Stade Alphonse Massamba-Débat in Brazzaville on Thursday 23 March, while the second leg is slated for Monday 27 March at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The Bright Stars will play Congo in Tanzania because they do not have an approved stadium by FIFA and CAF to host competitive international matches.
South Sudan are without a win in Group G, which also consists of Mali, Congo and Gambia.
