Aaron Ramsdale has stated that he wants to end up an Arsenal legend.

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has revealed that he wants to remain at Arsenal for the rest of his career and become a club legend.

The 24-year-old signed for Arsenal in the summer of 2021 for a €30 million fee, and since claiming the number one spot from Ramsdale, he has been one of Arsenal's best performers.

What Ramsdale said

Ramsdale was the recipient of the goalkeeper of the year award at the London Award, rewarding his impressive year with the Gunners.

After picking up the award, Ramsdale told BBC London that it has been difficult for him moving from club to club, as Ramsdale has played for Sheffield Wednesday and Bournemouth in the Premier League in his relatively short career.

Ramsdale wants more stability in his future and has said that he wants to spend the rest of his career at Arsenal, saying he wants to spend the next 10, 12, 15 years at Arsenal.

He said he wants to be a club hero and even a legend for the Gunners, wanting to commit his future to service for Arsenal.

“It was a difficult period moving club to club, even before that going on loan,” Ramsdale said.

“I never imagined leaving Bournemouth after a year, I never imagined leaving Sheffield United after a year.”

“But this is a place now where I can see myself for 10, 12, 15 years. That’s the aim, that’s the goal, that’s the aim to stay at the top for that amount of time.

“Hopefully, I’ll never have to leave and I’ll become a real hero and legend at this football club.”

Arsenal are on course to win their first Premier League title since the 2003/04 season, as they have a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table with 12 games to go.
