Carlo Ancelotti, the current coach of Real Madrid is suing former club Everton in London’s high court.
Ancelotti, 64, took charge of Everton in December 2019, enjoying a relatively successful 18-month spell in charge at Goodison Park.
The Italian then received a glorious opportunity to return to Real Madrid for a second time in June 2021.
Ancelotti suing Everton
Everton, a club never far from financial scandal these days will now have to deal with Ancelotti's claims, the latest setback for the Merseyside club.
Ancelotti’s lawyers filed the coach’s claim against his former employers late on Friday, according to court records. It relates to “general commercial contracts and arrangements” and is listed to be heard in the commercial court.
The club narrowly avoided relegation last season and are set for a difficult summer with key figures expected to leave and little sign of a summer overhaul in place.
