Currently separated by three points, Real Madrid and Barcelona will face off in the first El Clasico of the season at Bernabeu on Saturday evening. Here are predictions, team news, betting tips, and possible line-ups for the game.

Hansi Flick has had a great start to life as Barcelona manager, as the Blaugranas are having a stellar start to the season, winning all but one of their opening 10 La Liga matches.

The 4-2 defeat away at Osasuna is the only blemish in the league so far, and a 2-1 defeat to Monaco in their UEFA Champions League opener is the only other loss across all competitions.

Barcelona got a statement win over Bayern Munich in the UCL on Wednesday night, with Raphinha scoring a hat trick to secure a 4-1 victory, which sets the right mood heading into the first El Clasico of the season.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have not hit top gear this season, but the reigning La Liga and UCL champions have done enough to remain unbeaten in the league, picking up seven wins and three draws, though that leaves them with 24 points, three behind league leaders Barcelona.

Los Blancos had to come from a two-goal deficit at halftime, producing a stellar second half performance to win 5-2 against Borussia Dortmund in the UCL on Tuesday.

Real Madrid vs. Barcelona Munich Head to Head

Real Madrid completed the league double over Barcelona last season, and they have not lost at home to the visitors in La Liga since March 2022.

Los Blancos are enjoying a period of dominance in El Clasico, winning the last four competitive meetings against the Catalans .

There have been 257 official meetings between both sides, and Madrid have dominated with 105 wins to Barcelona’s 100.

In La Liga, they have met 188 times, with Los Blancos still edging it with 79 wins to Barca’s 74.

Real Madrid vs. Barcelona Team News and Possible Lineups

Real Madrid had significant losses after their win over Dortmund with Thibaut Courtois and Rodrygo both suffering injuries that have ruled them out for the next two to three weeks.

Andriy Lunin is expected to fill the void in goal, while Rodrygo's absence is likely to necessitate a change in formation, with Jude Bellingham positioned behind a front two of Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe.

David Alaba and Dani Carvajal also remain unavailable.

Barcelona, on the other hand, has received a boost with the return of Frenkie de Jong, Dani Olmo, and Gavi from injuries. However, the trio may start on the bench for El Clasico.

Ronald Araujo, Ferran Torres, Andreas Christensen, Marc Bernal, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen remain sidelined due to injuries, but Eric Garcia may be available for selection.
