Super Eagles Osho leaves Luton
The move comes as a huge blow for the Super Eagles, with Osho emerging as a rising star for the national team.
'I love you guys so much! Thank you for everything over the past 3 years 😢 Hope to see you all soon,' Osho wrote in an emotional Twitter post.
Osho, dubbed the 'oyinbo (white) player' of the Super Eagles, joined Luton in 2020 and played a pivotal role as the minnows exceeded all expectations by securing their place in the Premier League.
However, their dream season turned into a nightmare as they were relegated back to the Championship after just one campaign in the big time.
And now Osho, who scored two goals in 23 appearances for the club, has confirmed he will be seeking pastures new following their humiliating drop down the divisions.
The news will no doubt leave Luton supporters heartbroken, with the club confirming in May that they were in talks with the Nigeria international over a new contract.
'Talks over a new contract are ongoing with defender Gabe Osho,' the Hatters stated on their official website.
But it seems those negotiations have broken down, leaving the versatile defender free to find a new home ahead of the new season.
Osho's departure is a major blow for the club and their fans as they prepare for the long journey back to Premier League football.
