Chelsea captain Reece James has acknowledged that there might be a "problem" if Enzo Fernandez rejoins the Blues team on Monday.

Enzo got involved in a racial storm after he posted himself and Argentina players singing a racist song during their Copa America celebration.

The Argentine is still under internal investigation following his racist song about the black players in France.

However, the Argentina midfielder will travel to America to meet up with his teammates for their preseason tour.

James is wary of what would happen when Enzo joins the team in America after his racial situation and insists it could lead to a dressing room disorder.

According to the Sun, James was asked if the incident could impact the dressing room, he said, "Of course.

"There's always the factor where it doesn't sit right with people when there could be a problem.

"But until the day comes where everyone's together and in a room together, I don't know, but I hope things can be resolved smoothly and we can move forward with the season."

Wesley Fofana, a Chelsea player, criticised the club record signing for his "uninhibited racism" and unfollowed him on social media.

Although, the midfielder later took to his social media account to apologise for the racial song with his teammates.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Chelsea played their first preseason game against Wrexham which ended in a 2-2 draw.
