Chelsea defender Lauren James has signed a new contract with Chelsea after an impressive season with the Blues.

The Lioness forward has been important to Emma Hayes' team, helping them to win the domestic double this season.

The Chelsea player, who has established herself in the England side over the past year, has earned a new deal which was signed to keep her at the club till 2027.

Lauren signs new deal with Chelsea women

The 21-year-old has signed a new contract extension with Chelsea, keeping her at the club till 2027. 

After signing a new contract, the 21-year-old said, "It’s an amazing feeling to extend my stay at the club I love and where I feel most at home. I’m looking forward to the future and I want to reach my full potential.

"I want to be the best version of me as a player and as a person, helping to inspire the next generation. It definitely feels like home and it’s always been the place I’ve wanted to be."

Lauren has expressed her happiness with the new deal and wants to reach her full potential at the club.

Chelsea’s general manager Paul Green has praised Lauren’s impact and said she is one of the best young players in the world.

General manager Paul Green said, "We’re delighted that Lauren has signed an extended deal, she has built on last season and taken another step forward in her development.

“She is one of the best young players in the world, who is blue through and through. We look forward to seeing her continue to progress and we believe she will go on to achieve big things at the club.”

Lauren has played 24 times and scored six goals for Emma Hayes' team since moving to Kingsmeadow in 2021.
