Tore Bobe have boosted their survival chances with a key win over AFC Leopards, with two matches remaining until the end of the season.
Although their fate is not entirely in their own hands, Shabana FC managed to keep their survival hopes alive with a crucial 4-3 victory over AFC Leopards at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabay.
The last time Shabana got the better of AFC Leopards was back in 2006 in a 1-0 victory recorded in June in a season that the Kisii-based side, unfortunately, suffered relegation before spending 18 years in the lower leagues.
The win not only provided a much-needed morale boost but also propelled Shabana to the 15th spot in the FKF Premier League standings, placing them four points clear of the relegation zone with just two matches left in the season, albeit Sofapaka having a game in hand.
On the other side, the defeat was a significant setback for AFC Leopards, who dropped to the seventh spot in the league. This loss not only lowers their chances of securing a top-four finish but also adds pressure as the season nears its conclusion.
