Iheanacho, who joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer after his contract with Leicester City expired, has struggled to make an impact in Spain, failing to score or assist in nine league appearances for the Rojiblancos.
Several clubs have been linked with the 28-year-old, with Sevilla reportedly willing to let him leave, on loan with an option to buy.
Initially, a move to Sky Bet Championship side Watford was rumoured. However, according to the Express, Al Ahly have now emerged as a strong contender for Iheanacho’s signature.
