Alexander-Arnold’s rumoured conditions for Liverpool extension

According to talkSPORT, Alexander-Arnold has two key conditions for signing a new contract with Liverpool.

Firstly, he wants a deal of at least three years, extending his stay until the summer of 2028.

Secondly, the defender is seeking assurances that he will eventually become club captain, a role that could become available sooner than expected if Virgil van Dijk does not sign a new contract.

Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring the situation closely and are said to be confident of securing Alexander-Arnold's signature, either for a cut-price fee in January or on a free transfer in the summer.

The Spanish giants are reportedly prepared to offer a substantial wage increase and the opportunity to play alongside England teammate Jude Bellingham.

Liverpool have so far rebuffed Real Madrid's advances, insisting that the right-back is not for sale this month.

However, the club are under pressure to reach an agreement with the 26-year-old, who has been a key player for the Reds since his breakthrough.
